Another sweet memory!

The other night, I was putting the kids to bed; I typlically put Madison down first and then feed Ashley her bottle. So we did our normal routine: bath and then pjs. After pajamas, we read some books. Madison was set on "reading" books to Ashley, so we all sat on the floor and Madison "read" her nursery rhymes book to Ashley. She can identify which ones they are by the pictures on the pages. She sang "Are you sleeping Brother John", "Jack be nimble", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", and "Teddy Bear Teddy Bear", and the repeated them all! Ashley absolutely LOVED it and was laughing the whole time and smiling at Madison. It is moments like these that make all the stress of raising children all worth it!

Thanks for letting me share!

Sweet story...Awesome memory!

I have to take a minute to share a story that made a memory for me. Last night, after bath time, we were all in Ashley's room, as I was going to get her pajamas on. Madison saw the radio, and decided she wanted to have an impromptu dance party. She said "Mommy, please turn on music. Lets dance!" This put the biggest smile on my face! So I turned on the radio in Ashley's room to B98.5, as that is about the only one that is appropriate for her. Her idea of dancing is turning in circles, nonetheless, we danced! Ashley got in on it too, she was giggling the whole time, and LOVED watching Madison dance! My favorite quote from the night was this: "mommy, spin in circles like me mommy!" Such sweet innocence that she has.

It reminded me that we all need to take a few minutes out of everyday and just dance!
Thanks for letting me share this!

We have been busy...

Ok...where do I start?!? 5 weeks ago, we had our first major incident with Madison. We were having a snack at the kitchen table and then all of the sudden the chair was slipping out of underneath her. I caught her, but not quick enough. Before I was able to get her, she hit her chin on the table. On our table, there is a tiny raised lip before the edge. This is what she hit! I did not see much blood, until I was checking her out to make sure that she was ok. Thankfully, it did not bleed too much! She did great! She just kept saying "Momma, just put a bandaid on it". Needless to say, we went to the urgent care immediately once Rob got home from the gym, I had to call him to come home becuase I did not want to take both kids there with me by myself (knowing there would be stitches involved!)  Rob stayed home with Ashley while I took Madison to the urgent care!
The picture below is of Madison with the numbing agent they put on that numbed the entire chin; it was a gel that they mixed up, put on, and covered with a bandaid. We had to sit for 30 minutes for it to do its job!
waiting to see the dr and get her stitches!
Once we finally got back to see ther dr, she took one look at it and said it was pretty bad! It took an hour to get all 7 stitches out in! Below is the final product!

that night we had family movie night with Nainai!

Before our trip to urgent care, we went to Bed Bath and Beyond to get some things for the house...when Madison saw these chairs, she screamed so loud and was so excited! These are her favorite chairs! She asked if she could get one, and then proceeded to make sure that Ashley got one too! After naptime, Madison wanted to sit in their chairs; as you can see Ashley is not quite there at sitting up by herself in this picture...but Madison was happy!!

Quick update!

We have had some awesome things going on in our house lately! First, we got the house painted (pictures to come)! Then, we got new flooring, including new carpet AND hardwoods! I know, I know, who gets excited about new floors?!?! ME! This week we are getting the fence installed; this is very exciting because this means that Bailey will have a yard all to himself, and we can just let him out the back door in the morning instead of walking him (since I get up at 4:30, it is too early for a proper walk!).
And for the kids! Well, Ashley is now rolling over both ways very well! She started on rice cereal (pictures to come!), and is giggling all the time! Madison is now sleeping in real PJ's! I know what you are thinking about that; but she has had a naked issue where she likes to take EVERYTHING off, including diaper. Well, now that she is POTTY TRAINED, I think that is over that finally! It was so exciting buying her real PJ's!

Side note: this morning I found Ashley laying on her belly in bed, this was a first for me! She rolled over in her sleep, which was not too much of a surprise since she sleeps on her side anyways! But it was so fun to see her that way.

Madison LOVES helping with Ashley. Anytime you change her diaper, Madison wants to help and sit on the changing table too. She will sit there and give her kisses all morning when we are getting ready for "school".

Madison also loves going to "school". She gets so excited when she gets there and her friend Matthew is already there. They are too funny together; they always run and give each other a big hug in the morning! Ahh...young love!

I promise to have some new fun pictures soon...life has been way to busy lately to have time to sit at the computer at home and sort through the pictures!

Sweet Cousins!

No words...just priceless! Such sweet friends!

After they hung out, they wanted to call each other and play together all the time, so sweet!

Ashley

Here are a few updated pictures of sweet baby Ashley!
She fell asleep last night while eating...I could not get her up to finish eating at all! She did not sleep well at school for some reason yesterday, and I guess she was too tired!
I LOVE making her laugh and giggle! Such a fun stage she is in now. I cannot believe that she will be four months soon...the time has gone by way to quickly for me this time! She almost always gives Madison a HUGE smile in morning. Madison loves making her laugh and smile. If Ashley is in her bouncey seat, Madison will sit on the floro next to her trying to make her smile...melts my heart!
Not the best picture, but still a good one of her sweet little smile! I could stare at that smile all day! If only...maybe one day!

Double duty...

So...I tried something new the other day..a double bath! It was actually not bad at all! Madison loves it and she loves to wash her...We have a set plan now, I wash Ashley first, and then Madison gets to "wash" her. Then Madison gets washed. Ashley gets out first, as she needs the most help! Madison climbs out...yes, I said climbs out..and gets her towel on her head and wraps herself up! Then we get Ashley dressed in her pajamas, then Madison gives her a big hug and kiss good night.
Then, we start bedtime for Madison! Get her dressed and read a few books before bed. She now will tell you the names of the books the wants to reads. I love it when she wants to read the Hungry Caterpillar...I just love the way she says it...so innocent and sweet! Although, sometimes before stories, I will blow dry her hair, she LOVES it! She keeps saying "I big girl mommy" while I am drying it. It also helps with her crazy hair in the morning, it makes it more manageable!
Hope you enjoy this picture and story, I was very excited to share it with you!
